Chiefly Speaking

(by Tom Price, Section Chief)

Brothers,

The leaves are changing and the chill is in the breeze, but the NE-4B is moving right along. I, along with Ken Hager, current Northeast Region Chief and past NE-4B chief, staffed the Fall NLS at Camp Alpine in New Jersey. It was a great time with arrowmen from across the region in attendence. Wagion, Ah'Tic and Ahtuhquog all had youth and adults attending NLS and NLATS. This spring, Camp Guyasta will be the host to the Spring NLS. Since it will be in our section and in Enda's Backyard, I think it would be wise to send any members who need to be trained on the region level. It is a great experience and will help your lodge's newer and up and coming members more about leadership, teamwork and the order itself.

The next major event for our section will be the November COC. This will take place at Camp Tenacharison and be held November 17th. I urge all chiefs, conclave chairman and advisors along with the lodge advisor or their representitives so that any information can be relayed. We will be voting on and doing the following:

Section Budget
Section Assesment
Training Program
Training Cells
OA Museum
Assigning Trainers
Taking Photos for Guide Book
Collection History for the Guide Book
Meeting with the host lodge's chairman for different events
Eat Lunch
Recieve a menu
Discuss Guests
Approve Patch Designs or Designate the Designer
Lodge of the Year Award
Scavanger Hunt Ideas
Arrow Corps 5
High Advenuture
What each lodge has been up to?
And a number of other things...

A formal invite will be sent out closer to the date, but mark your calanders now and watch NE4B.org for any up dates.

Plan on getting your Arrow Corps 5 Info Sent in soon, the reservation packets are now out!!!
