COC On April 10, 2010

Brothers:

The next COC will be on April 10 at Seven Mountains (exact
time/location TBD). This is a change of what we had
originally planned on, so please note this new date.

To each Lodge: We will be taking pictures for the guidebook at the
COC, so you must have everyone present. Also, each Lodge (this falls
on the officers) needs to electronically send me a copy of your Lodge
history no later than Wednesday, April 7. We are beginning to
take requests from Lodges for any program or training materials that
they will need for the Conclave. Please send those requests to me. We
will be getting plaques made up for events. For your Lodge
registrations, we need participant names, whether they are a youth or
adult, the participant's OA honor, and any major health/food concerns
that we should be aware of. All Lodges need an approximate count of
participants at the COC. You will, of course, be able to add
participants leading up to Conclave, but your approximate count is
necessary to begin the final planning stages.

Thanks for your cooperation and support as we get ready to celebrate
100 years of Scouting at the 2010 Section NE-4B Conclave. Look for a
more formal update in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can
contact me at (717) 994-0647 or joncherry@gmail.com for any questions
that you have.

CONCLAVE 2010

Brothers,

As you all know, Conclave is rapidly approaching. With less than six months to go, it's crunch time! Conclave Chairmen and Lodges should be towards the final parts of planning their contributions to Conclave. As we come into the "home stretch," be checking out your e-mails and the Section Website more often. The website has not received many updates as of yet, but I will be posting much more information as we draw closer to June 11-13.

Chiefly Speaking

Brothers,

It is an honor to take the role of Section NE-4B Chief for 2008. I
can't wait to see everyone at Camp Conestoga for next year's conclave.
Wagion Lodge #6 is working very hard to prepare a great conclave next
year. 2007 Conclave was a blast! And thanks to Nachamawat Lodge #275,
it went off without a hitch. Be safe, and I will see you at the
September Gathering.

One month until Conclave!

(By Ken Hager, Section Chief)

Gentlemen!

We are now in the home stretch for Conclave ’06! By now your contingents should be formed and you should have all your Conclave responsibilities squared away.

When talking to Bill from Enda and Christian from Monaken, I am confident that our cracker-barrel on Saturday night will be one to remember.

Any lodge who still has not received names of judges or other requests from the other lodges, please do not be afraid to send an e-mail out to this list. Remember to help support the other lodges in their need! Who knows when your lodge may need an extra hand at a future Conclave!

OJ has sent the last issue of the Informer out so you should be receiving it soon. It has a paper copy of the minutes from our last meeting.

I have contacted David Dowty (Past Nat’l VC) and Jess Rumburg (NE Venturing Pres.) to be guests at our Conclave. I will let you know when I receive their conformations. Rob from Ahtuhquog is also still trying to get Miss Teen Maryland. Hopefully we’ll have some great guests at Conclave!

If you have any problems for the COC to clear up, let us know now and we can kick it in the butt before it is too late!

Thanks and Best of Luck!

Conclave Training Cells.

Here is a list of when each training cell or workshop will be held during the Conclave, along with the lodge that will be running each training session. Ahtuhquog will be coming out with a list of where each session will be held, and this will be handed out at Conclave.
